  The county's museum occupies the former sheriff's office and jail on West Broad Street and opened in March 2002 as a project of the Overton County Historical Society. Military items from the Civil War and both world wars, old medical instruments, farm implements and depression-era home life, plus a Camp Crossville POW display on loan from the Clyde York 4-H Camp.
